The New York Wine Course, based on curriculum created by the New York Wine & Grape Foundation, is appropriate for any tasting room, sales, or marketing employee. It exposes participants to the history, regions, and styles of New York State wines. It also offers the opportunity to taste a variety of wines, learn tasting technique, and explore the elements of proper wine service. Approximately 15 different wines are tasted during the day. Detailed handouts based on the presentations are given to students, and a short quiz at the end of the day tests their understanding. Students receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the quiz. The course is taught by Kyle Pallischeck, who is an experienced, certified, and engaging wine instructor.
