Yancey’s Fancy Inc. is a maker of fine Artisan Cheese. We have 45 different flavors of cheddars and growing. The plant was started in 1947 by Bavarian Leo Kutter, who came to New York and began making Swiss, brick, cheddar and limburger cheeses. Leo’s two sons, Dick & Tony carried on the cheese making tradition until their retirement in 1998, at which time the company was bought by John Yancey, Brian Bailey (Cheesemaker) and Mike Wimble (Sales & Marketing). Mr. Yancey retired in 2006 and Wayne Henry was named President/CEO of Yancey’s Fancy. Yancey’s Fancy hopes to enchant your taste buds with their many flavors of cheese from their Sharpest XXX Aged Cheddar, the Hot & Spicy Buffalo Wing Cheddar, on down to the sweet Strawberry Chardonnay Cheddar.
